On Saturday, January 24, 2026, at approximately 4:41 pm Deputies arrested Deandre Pettiford, a 48 year old male of Hurlock, MD and charged him with one count of  second degree assault. The arrest stems from Deputies of the Caroline County Sheriffs Office responding to 331 Bloomingdale Avenue, Federalsburg, Maryland (Royal Farms) for a reported assault. Upon arrival, Deputies learned that a male and female had been involved in an altercation. Deputies located the female victim in the store at which time she advised that she was assaulted by her boyfriend later identified as Deandre Pettiford.  The victim sustained minor injuries however medical attention was not necessary. Deputies placed Deandre Pettiford under arrest and transported him to the Caroline County Sheriffs Office for further processing. Deandre Pettiford and was seen by a Caroline County District Court Commissioner, and held without bond at the Caroline County Detention Center.
