On Wednesday February 11, 2026, Deputies from the Caroline County Sheriff's Office responded to the 23000 Block of Holly Park Drive, Preston, MD in reference to a theft.
 

Upon arrival, Deputies spoke to the victim who advised they paid $400 to a "Mary Murray" on Facebook Marketplace for a couch and delivery of the couch. The victim sent the money via Zelle payment, and once the payment was sent, communication was lost with the seller. The victim advised no couch was ever delivered.
